Berkeley Urgent Care Center Urges to Save Air and Stay in Good Health

April to October is “Spare The Air” season in the Bay Area. As part of this initiative to improve air quality in the region, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) urged locals to find ways to go to work other than driving. Furthermore, it also encouraged reducing the use of aerosol products and anything that contains or runs on fossil fuel. “Spare The Air” is a public information system designed not only to inform the public about best air preservation practices but also to monitor air quality around the Bay Area. It divides the Bay Area into five air monitoring districts and gauges air quality in a 300-point scale. Berkeley lies in the Coastal and Central Bay monitoring district.
